Looking for exciting activities to keep the kids entertained during spring break? The South Central Regional Library Winkler Branch has you covered with a jam-packed week of free, engaging programs from April 1st to April 5th!

A week of creativity and fun

"We are ready to party!" says Britany Morgan, Winkler Library Clerk and Programmer for South Central Regional Library. With a different activity planned every day, there's something for everyone to enjoy.

  • April 1st – Perler Bead Session (1:30 PM): Get creative with colorful perler beads! While kids of all ages can participate, Morgan advises that younger children may need assistance. Registration is required.

  • April 2nd – DIY Robot Head Workshop (1:00 PM): Kids can design and build their own robot heads! Due to the use of hot glue, parents are encouraged to supervise younger participants. Registration is required.

  • April 3rd – Dungeons & Dragons (Two Sessions: 12-15 years at 1:30 PM, 16+ at 5:30 PM): The library is hosting its first-ever one-shot Dungeons & Dragons session! "D&D is incredibly popular right now," says Morgan. "If you have dice, bring them along, but we will also have some available." This event is filling up fast, so register soon!

  • April 4th – Family Movie Matinee (1:30 PM): Enjoy a screening of The Wild Robot with popcorn and drinks provided. No registration is required—just drop in and have fun!

  • April 5th – Extra Lego Club (1:00 PM): Calling all young builders! "Lego Club is one of our most popular programs," Morgan shares. With plenty of Lego to go around, kids can let their imaginations run wild. No registration is needed.
