Friday on the Country 94.1 Morning Show, Swift Current Mayor Al Bridal stopped by to have a candid discussion about the 2025 Municipal Budget.
We went over a number of topics, including the tax increase of 2.71%, and what that means for the citizens of Swift Current. What will the community see from the increase? Additionally, there is the new recreation levy of $140 that is charged to ratepayers in the city. It roughly averages out to a little over $11 per month. With this levy, how much will be put away on an annual basis, and will it continue once the pool is in place?
We also touched on snow removal, other municipalities and whether or not a levy is something they would be considering, and various improvements the 2025 budget is set to incorporate into our everyday lives.
