A spring snowstorm blanketed Cochrane today, with periods of snow accumulating up to 5 cm in some areas. Despite being a spring storm, temperatures remained well below freezing, with a high of -2°C. Winds were light, reaching up to 15 km/h, but wind chills were significant, making it feel like -11°C this morning and -6°C by the afternoon.

The snow is expected to continue into tonight, with the possibility of an additional 2 cm of snow before tapering off overnight. As the snow ends, cloudy skies will take over, and temperatures will drop to a low of -6°C, with a wind chill near -8°C.
Fortunately, conditions should start to improve by Sunday, March 30th. A mix of sun and cloud is expected, with only a 30 percent chance of flurries in the morning. The high temperature will rise to 6°C, and winds will pick up, becoming southeast at 20 km/h with gusts reaching up to 40 km/h in the afternoon. The wind chill will still be a factor in the morning, with temperatures feeling closer to -7°C.
