Swift Current city council unanimously approved waiving a trio of noise bylaws on Monday night for upcoming late-night events.
The City gave the green light to Kinetic Park, which will host a myriad of events from May till October, the Swift Current 57's, and Long Day's Night Music Festival. All of the events applied in anticipation or in the event they'll be creating excessive noise after 10 p.m.
"Over the summer months the City of Swift Current is host many popular events that create a positive spinoff within the business community and attrach a large number of people each year," Swift Current city clerk Jackie Schlamp said. "In order to accommodate these events, organizers have requested that the City's noise control bylaw number 25 of 2014 be waived."
Kinetic Park's approval includes nine race days for the Swift Current Stock Car Association, with three potential rain days if needed, Frontier Days from June 25 to June 28, and other unlisted events on July 12-13 and August 23.
The Swift Current 57's application was for June 13 at Mitchell Field, where they'll have live music pre-and-post-game.
And rounding out approvals was the Long Day's Night Music Festival slated to run June 19 to June 21 at the corner of 11th Avenue Southwest and Marston Street.
