The Weyburn Public Library is hosting the Spring Book Sale, which kicked off this morning. As usual, there was a lineup at the front door for those eager to find some great deals on books and other media items.
It's not just about great deals on books - though, on Saturday, anyone can fill a box of books for just $10 - it's about supporting all of the library's free programming for adults, teens, and children.
"These this is another source of our fundraising for our programming. The City of Weyburn supports us, but we also want to be able to contribute our own funds from our book sales, and the programs need to stay free, especially in the economic uncertainty of what's going on right now," shared Branch Manager Dawn Silver.
The sale will run today until 8 p.m., tomorrow from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Saturday from 9:30 to 4 p.m.
Purchases can be made with small denominations of cash only. Patrons are also asked to bring a bag or box and to load them up!
