Underground water and sewer work will cause overnight road closures in High River

Some underground work will cause a road closure in High River next week.

Crews will be doing some underground water and sewer tie-in work for a new building on 5 Ave SE, beginning on Tuesday (April 8) at 8 a.m.

Because of the work, 5 Ave between 1 St SE and 2 St SE will be closed from Tuesday at 8 a.m., until Friday, April 11 at 5 p.m.

There is a detour setup for those who have to travel in the area, with drivers being sent up 1st Street to 4 Avenue, and then back down on 2nd Street to 5 Avenue.

The Town is reminding motorists to drive carefully in the area, watch for crews working, and follow all posted signs.
