It was another shutout for the Winnipeg Jets as they defeated the Vegas Golden Knights 4-0 on Thursday evening.

Eric Comrie, expecting a baby any day now, played backup for Connor Hellebuyck, making 26 saves and gaining his second shutout of the season.

Mark Scheifele scored the first goal 13:01 into the first period, bringing the score to 1-0 early in the game.

The goals continued in the first period with Adam Lowry scoring just five minutes later, bringing the Jets to 2-0 in the first period.

Winnipeg continued to bring momentum into the second period with Colin Miller scoring the Jets' third goal at 11:53, leading the Jets to a 3-0 lead.

The Golden Knights managed to get seven shots in the second period, with Comrie saving all of them.

In the third period, Vegas attempted to get back in the game, shooting 15 shots at Comrie, who held up strong and didn't let any in.

The final goal of the game came less than one minute before the end, with Cole Perfetti getting the puck into the net at 19:08, helping the Jets finish the game with a 4-0 win.

The Jets, who have won 52 games this season, remain four points up on the Dallas Stars for first place in the Central Division.
