Brandon lowers Métis flag in solidarity with those mourning the passing of Minister John Fleury

The City of Brandon stands in solidarity with those mourning the passing of Minister John Fleury.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family and friends during this difficult time. Minister Fleury was a proud Red River Métis who dedicated his life to public service.

He served in the Canadian Armed Forces and his father, George Fleury, was one of the founding members of the Manitoba Métis Federation.

The City of Brandon has lowered the Métis flag outside of City Hall. It will remain lowered for four days and four nights.
