Provincial parks in Saskatchewan will soon be opening up for the season, with registration kicking off this week for campsites.
"If you're looking for something to do this summer, Saskatchewan parks boast a variety of diverse parks offering visitors many options for enjoyable and affordable vacations close to home. We hope that people look at Saskatchewan provincial parks for their vacations this year, as we're certainly looking forward to welcoming everybody," said Moose Mountain Provincial Park Manager Kim Brown.
Online reservations open this Thursday, April 10th at Moose Mountain. Reserve your site HERE.
While staff have been working hard with last-minute touches like snow-clearing, to prepare everything for the launch, they are also planning some new summer events for campers, which are free for anyone with a valid park entry permit.
"Cabin Fever Art Festival at Moose Mountain is on August 23rd," said Brown.
Other events at Provincial Parks this summer include, 'The Forest' at Meadow Lake, 'Prairie Day' at Buffalo Pound, and new guided hiking events like 'Hike the Heights' at Cypress Hill and 'Into the Pines' at Candle Lake.
Moose Mountain will be open on the May long weekend, with the first day being May 15th. The season is set to last until closing day on September 30th.
Brown invites everyone to come to the park and experience what they have to offer this summer.
