The Olds RCMP have charged two individuals with drug trafficking offences after a traffic stop.

On March 27, the Olds Crime Reduction Unit observed drug trafficking activity in the Town of Olds.   

With the assistance of Olds RCMP, a traffic stop was conducted, and 238 grams of suspected methamphetamine was located.  

Shaylene McCauley, a 26-year-old resident of Innisfail, was charged with the following:  

  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking  

  • Fail to comply with an undertaking  

  • Fail to comply with probation order (x4)     

While 48-year-old Michael Goodine of Penhold was charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking.  

McCauley and Goodine were held for a Judicial Interim Release Hearing and later released.   

Goodine is scheduled to appear in the Alberta Court of Justice in Didsbury on April 7, and McCauley is to appear on April 28.
