Local dodgeball fans and southwest residents can register teams for Gull Lake's third annual Dodgeball Tournament coming up in a couple of weeks.

The Gull Lake Dodgeball Tournament will be hosted at the Gull Lake & District Rink Complex on Friday, April 25 and Saturday, April 26.

Brittany Migneault, secretary for the Gull Lake & District Rink Complex and an organizer of the Dodgeball Tournament, highlighted that proceeds will go to support the Rink Complex, specifically, much-needed upgrades to the compressor.

"We get teams from all over, there's a break-down of a tournament and it's all for fun and glory," she said. "We've got 13 teams signed up so far this year, this is the most we've ever had, but we're always willing to fit in some more teams."

Anyone ages 16 and up can participate, and at least two females are required to begin each set. Athletes can sign up in co-ed teams of six-12 for $250 per team.

"We're very excited about everybody turning out, it's so much fun," Migneault shared, noting that the tournament isn't too competitive.

Additionally, beer and wing night is set for April 25, and both the beer gardens and rink concession will be open all weekend long.

"We cook wings out of the booth," she added. "We have homemade wing sauce, and it's a lot of fun."

Folks looking to register a team can contact Migneault at (306) 671 - 7732.
