Demolition began on an old building on Swift Current's Second Avenue North West last week.
The aging structure that was once Anderson Appliance Service has undergone work to tear down a significant portion of the building.
Andy Beattie, owner of Beattie Construction, noted that the basement was unrepairable.
He plans to tear down only the front section of the building to keep the shop at the back to use for his construction business.
As Beattie is also the owner of the property next door, he's open to potentially building something new.
Owner of Anderson Appliance and former owner of the building, Keith Anderson, highlighted that a great deal of his life was spent at the old building before they sold it in the 1970s.
Folks walking by the area are encouraged to watch out for debris or broken glass while the work is finishing up.
