Local athletes were in Gull Lake this past weekend competing in the North Sectional Badminton Playoff.
Over a dozen SCCHS athletes brought home medals and will be moving on in the season.
Swift Current's Michael Liu secured first place in boys singles, while Hannah Riego came out first in girls singles, and Tinara Bowditch took silver in girls singles.
Also from the Comp, Saryn Allan and Tate Unger ended with gold in mixed doubles, while Lauren Hanson and Jacob Derksen took third in mixed doubles.
In girls doubles, Kayla Gonzales and Amalia Letkeman captured second place while Ellizze Completo and Lola Ruehs finished with bronze.
The seven SCCHS teams who placed within the top three of their categories will advance to the SWAC District Championship on Saturday, April 12, in the Comp gymnasium.
