Fairview Pool opening earlier this season

Repairs to the Swift Current Aquatic Centre will cause an early opening for Fairview Pool.

The outdoor pool will open up on May 17th for the season.

The Aquatic Centre will close on May 16th and undergo repairs throughout the summer.

It is set for $2.1 million dollars in renovations.

As a result, spring four-week swimming lessons are now planned for Fairview Pool.

The city noted the times of the lessons will remain unchanged.

In another sign that spring is here, Swift Current park washrooms are now open for the season from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM at Riverside, Riverdene, Highland, Saulteaux, Elmwood, and ACT parks.

The washrooms at Plewis Inclusive and Westside parks are only open until 4:30 PM.
