The temperatures shooting up this week gave us our first taste of warm-weather thunderstorms for the season.
"We did have some thunderstorms develop last night into the overnight period," said Environment and Climate Change Canada meteorologist Danielle Dejardins. "We did have a couple of reports of dime-sized hail."
She noted those reports came from the Eston area.
We could see more activity tongiht.
"There is another chance of thunderstorms tonight," Dejardins said. "With these thunderstorms, there is a little less instability. We're looking towards these thunderstorms producing strong wind gusts."
There could be some storm activity on the weekend with a chance of snow.
"The odds are going down as we get further into the month," Dejardins said. "With the system tracking through on the weekend there is a potential for some snowfall. However, especially in southwest Saskatchewan, we don't expect that to stick around very long."
