Wylie Richard Thompson, late of Weyburn, SK (formerly of Lake Alma, SK) passed away on April 7, 2025 at the age of 84 years.

Wylie was predeceased by his parents, William and Catherine Thompson; granddaughter, Ava Trobert; brother, Lewis Thompson; niece, Lucy Stadler; nephew, Dwight Thompson; his in-laws, John and Margaret Yanyu; brothers-in-law, Larry Stadler, Brian Huber and Henry Yanyu.

Wylie is survived by his wife of 60 years, Sylvia Thompson of Weyburn, SK; son, Philip Thompson (Tanya Buchinski) of Radville, SK and his children, Parker and Presley and their mother, Cara Thompson; son, Mark (Janet) Thompson of Lake Alma, SK and their children, Stephanie (Emmett) Aronson and son, Titus, Michelle, Jeremiah and Sarah; son, John (Keitha) Thompson of Yellow Grass, SK and their children, Julie, Amy and Benjamin; daughter, Doris (James) Trobert of Estevan, SK and their children, Rylan (Naomi), Connor, Justin and Lindy. Wylie is also survived by his
sister, Emily Stadler; sisters-in-law, Mildred Thompson, Helen Yanyu, Eva (Bruce) Chopping, Janet (Pat) Varga; brothers-in-law, Raymond (Gail) Yanyu and Daniel (Linda) Yanyu; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Prayers will be held on Sunday, April 13, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. from RD Family Funeral Chapel, Weyburn, SK with celebrant, Fr. Valentine Amobi.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at a later date on Saturday, May 24, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. from the Holy Family Parish Roman Catholic Church, Radville, SK with Celebrant Father Okafor and Concelebrant Father Nguyen. Interment will be held at the Laurier Cemetery, Radville, SK with luncheon following at the Holy Family Parish Roman Catholic Church basement, Radville, SK

In lieu of flowers, for family and friends so wishing, charitable donations in memory of Wylie may be made to the Adult Day Program, c/o Weyburn Special Care Home, 704 ~ 5th Street, Weyburn, SK, S4H 1A3.
