With it being the Easter Long weekend, there will be some facility closures and a slight change to garbage collection in High River.
Due to Friday, April 18, being Good Friday, garbage collection scheduled for this day will be moved to Thursday, April 17 instead.
If your collection day lands on Fridays, the Town is asking for you to bring out your garbage bin before 7 a.m. on Thursday.
On Good Friday, the Town Hall (Joint Administration Building), Greater Foothills Family Centre, Family and Community Support Services (FCSS), the Public Works facility, the Recycling Centre, RCMP Administration Office, and the Fire and Protective Services Administration Office will all be closed.
The Bob Snodgrass Recreation Complex will also be closed on Good Friday, but it will be open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, and from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Easter Monday.
On Saturday, an Easter Candy Hunt is happening at the Bob Snodgrass Recreation Complex, beginning at 10 a.m.
As always, holiday closures do not impact essential services, such as fire services and the RCMP.
