A warrant has been issued for a man charged with violent offences in Olds after he failed to appear in court, according to RCMP.
On March 28, 2025, Olds RCMP was dispatched to a report of a serious assault that occurred in the Town of Olds. Upon arrival, a female victim was located with multiple serious injuries. Investigation led to a male suspect being identified.
Dustin Martin, 39, a resident of Olds, was charged with:

Break and Enter
-
Aggravated Assault
-
Unlawful confinement
-
Assault while choking, suffocating or strangling
-
Assault
-
Uttering threats
-
Criminal harassment
Martin was held in custody and released after a judicial interim release hearing. He was directed to appear in the Alberta Court of Justice in Didsbury, Alta., on April 7, 2025. He failed to attend.
As a result, Martin was subsequently charged for failing to attend court. A warrant for his arrest has been issued.
