The Senior City Final badminton championships took place on April 8th at Peacock Collegiate. Each school could enter two participants in each of the five categories: boys singles, girls singles, boys' doubles, girls' doubles, and mixed doubles.
Cornerstone emerged victorious, securing their fifth consecutive team championship and winning gold in four out of the five categories. Central followed closely, earning one gold and three silver medals.
The top two players in each category will advance to the South Central District championship at Peacock tomorrow. This tournament will feature the top two players from Moose Jaw and the other three sections in Prairie South. The top two from districts will then move on to Regionals in Maple Creek on May 3rd, aiming for a spot in the provincial championships on May 10th in Estevan.
