The City of Weyburn has officially launched their accessibility survey.
They're asking all residents, businesses, and organizations in the city to participate in the survey, which will directly influence the city's accessibility plan, which will be completed by December.
Abby Kradovill is the safety coordinator for the City of Weyburn. She explains the plan will address more than just physical barriers.
“We're taking a comprehensive approach by addressing a combination of barriers. So physical, informational, systemic, and attitudinal, we recognize that accessibility is more than just ramps and elevators. It's also how people interact with our spaces, our services, and communications."
The survey itself was designed to be accessible to all users, including teaming up with local advocacy groups to distribute and encourage participation.
"We are using SurveyMonkey and that is compatible with screen readers and meets some specific requirements and it will be available in print format and different formats if required."
The survey can be found HERE or on the City of Weyburn Website and social medias.
