The Town of Okotoks is on the lookout for its next Sheep River Artists in residence.
This will be the program's third consecutive year, with an artist to be featured during a monthlong residence.
During that time, they will compose a body of work, working at the Okotoks Art Gallery for the first half of the month and a yet-to-be-decided second location for the remainder.
They will also have a scheduled time at the art gallery and library when they'll interact with members of the public and mentor other local artists.
Artists of all disciplines are welcome to apply, with the application to include a proposal, cover letter, CV, and samples of the artist's work.
The previous artists were Tanya Zakarow in 2023 and Wanru Kemp in 2024.
Zakarow sketched portraits of three notable Okotokians, while Kemp painted a series of watercolours based on the everyday sights of Okotoks.
The deadline to apply is May 19.
