The Town of Cochrane is making it easier for residents to stay on top of their accounts, and offering a local reward for doing so. With the recent expansion of the Go Paperless program, residents can now receive a wider range of bills and notices directly through email.

In addition to utility bills, the Town is now offering electronic delivery of animal licence renewals, property tax bills, and assessment notices, following Council’s approval of the new Electronic Communications Bylaw earlier this year.

“Many residents already get their utility bills electronically. Now, we’re encouraging more people to sign up for other bills and notices too,” said Stacey Loe, Executive Director of Corporate Services for the Town of Cochrane.

“Going paperless helps residents get notified sooner while also helping the Town, and ultimately our residents, save money.”

The move not only streamlines communication but also reduces the cost of printing and mailing, creating a win-win for both the Town and residents.

To encourage early adoption, the Town is offering a monthly incentive. Anyone who signs up for paperless notifications before October 2025 will be entered into a monthly draw for a $100 gift card to a local Cochrane business.

“This is a great way to support local while also encouraging residents to make the switch,” added Loe.

Residents can sign up now by visiting cochrane.ca/paperless.
