Contractors will be flushing out the sewer mains in Okotoks over the next few months.
It serves a few purposes, as it's a proactive maintenance measure to prevent backups and blockages by removing debris.
It also gives the Town a chance to inspect the sewer system to see if any repairs or replacements are needed.
The work is set to start on Monday, April 21, and will continue into the summer months.
Minimal disruptions are expected, though the Town is advising residents that you may see bubbling in toilets while work is being done in your area, and you may hear noises from acoustic equipment echoing through the sewer line.
They're advising locals to keep toilet lids closed when work is underway nearby.
More information on the sewer main work can be seen on the Town's website.
