Since 2014, April 16 has been recognized as National Canadian Film Day or CanFilm Day.
Movie theatres across the country are celebrating the day and that also includes Reel Attractions here in Humboldt.
Tonight, they will be offering free admission to a pair of Canadian films.
At 6:45, they will be showing Mr. Dressup: The Magic of Make-Believe. A documentary that examines the classic Canadian show that was a beloved favourite for many generations during its 39-year run on television.
The second movie at 9:00 will be It Feeds. A horror movie about young girl claiming an entity is feeding on her, as Jordan and her mother must find a way to stop before the girl is taken completely.
With no admission for the movies, there will be limited rush seating, based on a first come, first served basis. There will be no reserved seats.
There will only be 99 tickets available for Mr. Dressup: The Magic of Make-Believe, with only 79 tickets available for It Feeds.
