Jody Holzmiller has been appointed president and CEO of Southeast College, effective May 1.

She has held the role in an interim capacity since July 2024. Holzmiller has been with the college since December 2005 and has nearly two decades of experience within the Saskatchewan regional college system.

During her time at Southeast College, she has held a number of roles, including executive assistant to the president and board of governors, and later, vice-president.

“Over the past eight months, the board has witnessed Jody’s commitment to fostering a climate of trust, transparency and accessibility,” said board chair John Williams. “The stability, experience and sector knowledge Jody brings to the role of president and CEO is invaluable.”

In her new role, Holzmiller will work with First Nations, business leaders, communities, other post-secondary institutions, Saskatchewan’s regional colleges, international partners and government officials. The college says the goal is to strengthen its position in the region and the province.

The institution’s partnerships are aimed at enabling students to “learn where they live” by offering accessible and affordable post-secondary education in rural communities and on First Nations throughout the college’s service area.

“Jody is eager to position Southeast College to play a role in the challenges our communities are facing,” said Williams. “Forging strong relationships and fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration will be key elements in doing so.”

Holzmiller holds a Master of Educational Administration from the University of Regina and a Master of Arts in Leadership and Training from Royal Roads University.
