A resident of Lafleche is facing charges garnered from a colossal weapons bust that saw 31 firearms seized recently, had her matters adjourned for election.

Amanda Johnston appeared in Assiniboia Circuit Point on Thursday, April 10 and is set to return to court in Assiniboia on May 8.

Johnston was initially arrested in November 2024 after a search warrant was executed at a Lafleche residence and rural site by the Saskatchewan RCMP's Swift Current Saskatchewan Trafficking Response Team, Police Dog Services, Gravelbourg Detachment, the National Weapons Enforcement Support Team, and the Regina Police Service Crime Reduction Team.

In addition to the firearms, police also located brass knuckles, five prohibited devices, ammunition, a small amount of psilocybin, and a stolen vehicle.

The 38-year-old resident of Lafleche received five charges in relation to the raid;

One count of possession of firearms without a license,
One count of possession of prohibited devices
One count of knowingly possessing firearms without a license, 
One count of careless storage of firearms,
One count of storing loaded firearms. 

Jason Palmier, who was also arrested during the search, was sentenced in February on three of the 11 charges he faced.
