The Richardson Pioneer Weyburn Red Wings announced Friday afternoon they had acquired forward Troy Hamilton from the Waywayseecappo Wolverines of the MJHL.

Hamilton is a familiar name in southeast Saskatchewan. He started his Junior A career with the Estevan Bruins as an 18-year-old. In his rookie season, he compiled 29 points in 41 games. He was then traded to Valley Wildcats of the MJAHL last season, where he skated in six games.

The Brandon, Manitoba native was then acquired by WayWayseecappo in the offseason and has played in 21 games this season. In those games, he has scored 13 goals in 21 games.

It is hoped Hamilton will be able to join the team in time for the games scheduled this weekend.
