Jury selection is underway in the high-profile trial of five former Canadian world junior hockey players, including Cochrane native Dillon Dubé.
Dubé, who rose through local hockey ranks before being drafted by the Calgary Flames in 2016, is facing one count of sexual assault in connection with an alleged incident in 2018.
The trial is taking place in London, Ontario, with proceedings expected to last several weeks. Dubé appeared at pretrial hearings in November alongside fellow accused Michael McLeod, Alex Formenton, Carter Hart, and Cal Foote.
