The Sask Volleyball Provincial tournament was held through the weekend bringing teams from across the province.
From the Weyburn Volleyball Club, Weyburn Surge delivered an impressive performance throughout the tournament, finishing second in the Division 2 Championship and bringing home the silver medal.
Competing in Pool C, Weyburn Surge saw a strong start on Saturday claiming three straight set victories against the Eclipse Elite, Momentum Black, and Route 20 Renegades.
Doubling down on Saturday taking two wins in the Division Two Championship bracket, edging out JCVC White in three sets, and earning a victory over the Route 20 Renegades in two close sets.
The gold medal match saw Weyburn Surge once again facing Momentum Black, starting strong winning 27-25 in the first set, but ultimately falling in three, landing the team with a well-fought second-place finish.
