The Weyburn Beavers Baseball Club is looking for the community's help as they gear up for the 2025 baseball season.

Brittany Sparwood is the billet coordinator for the Beavers, she says one way families can help is by becoming a billet family.

"The billet family is a family that lives in the community of Weyburn that takes in a player for the season. They provide them a place to sleep, have food available for them to make, as well as be essentially the family that they don't have while they're away from their own family."

Beyond billeting, there are a number of volunteer opportunities for anyone looking to get involved with the team.

"We have tons of volunteer opportunities available. So if hosting is maybe not the one for you, we have lots of little areas within the Diamond, whether it be game day or after hours, that we will gladly take some volunteers."

This includes serving drinks and food, and selling merch. There are also opportunities above the stands.

"If you're pretty good at keeping score, you're more than welcome to that. We will always take on a little guest visit to help John Prette with the play-by-play and some color. If you feel like you've got some flair for that."

They are also open to help with managing their social media accounts.
