The Toronto Maple Leafs needed overtime to get the job done and they now have a two-games-to-none lead in their first round series against Ottawa. 

Max Domi scored the winner 3:09 into OT giving the Leafs a 3-2 win last night. Former Warriors' star Morgan Reilly scored his 2nd of the playoffs to open the scoring.

Also last night, Carolina topped New Jersey 3-1, taking a two-games-to-none lead in that series. Minnesota Wild surprised the Golden Knights 5-2. That series now tied at a win apiece and the Florida Panthers whipped Tampa Bay 6-2 in game one of that first round series.

The Regina Pat Canadians are 2 and 0 at the Telus Cup. The Pat C's beat the Moncton Flyers 3-2 last night. Regina plays again at noon today against the Elgin Middlesex Canucks. 

The Blue Jays lost their 4th straight, 5-1 to Houston.

Local golf courses are back in business! The driving range and 13 of 18 holes are open for play at Deer Ridge, the driving range and clubhouse are open at the Lynbrook and the Hillcrest Golf Club will be open for play, tee to green, on May 1st.
