Cochranites are in for a celestial treat this Friday morning. A rare planetary alignment will create a "smiley face" in the eastern sky just before sunrise.
On April 25, around 5:30 a.m, Venus, Saturn, and a thin crescent moon will form a triangular pattern resembling a sideways smiley face.
Venus will shine brightly above the horizon, with Saturn appearing slightly lower and to the left. The crescent moon will sit below them, forming the "smile."

For the best viewing experience, find a location with a clear view of the eastern horizon and minimal light pollution. The spectacle will last for about an hour before the sun rises.
While Venus and the moon are easily visible to the naked eye, Saturn's dimmer appearance may require binoculars or a telescope to spot.
