The Kiwanis Club of Cochrane is once again honouring student leaders through its annual Dirk Bannister Scholarship Awards.
In partnership with Bow Valley Credit Union, the club will award six scholarships of $1,000 each to local Grade 12 students.
Graduates from Cochrane High, Bow Valley High and St. Timothy High are all eligible to apply.
Each school will select two recipients who plan to attend a post-secondary institution this fall.

The scholarships recognize students who demonstrate outstanding leadership and a strong commitment to volunteer work in the Cochrane community.
The deadline to apply is May 7.
