Bridge lights up for after-school program awareness

The Jack Tennant Memorial Bridge in Cochrane will be glowing yellow and blue today in honour of Lights on After School, a province-wide initiative recognizing the value of before- and after-school programs for children and youth.

The annual event shines a spotlight on the crucial role out-of-school programming plays in supporting families and communities.

From social skill development to healthy lifestyle habits and continued learning opportunities, these programs provide safe, structured environments during the critical hours outside of school.
