Danny Milton Showers

Danny Milton Showers 69 years of Humboldt, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at the Humboldt District Hospital. Danny was born on November 28, 1955 to Elmo and Nancy (nee Bell) Showers at Paradise Hill, SK. Danny’s passions included quadding, fishing, boating, hunting, conservation and the outdoors as well as the Roughriders – in good times and bad. Throughout his life he was always very actively involved with the community with various volunteer groups. Danny worked with the Royal Bank for 40 years and greatly enjoyed and appreciated his co-workers and clients. Above all and most importantly to him, he lived for his family and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Danny will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his wife Rita of almost 47 years. three children, and four grandchildren: Crystal (Titus) Alcide of Hamilton, ON; Chantel (Brad) Gryba of Saskatoon and children Sadie and Jordan; and Brendan (Jennifer) Showers of Humboldt and children Blake and Emmy; three sisters: Ann Bell of Vernon, BC, Linda Showers of Kelowna, BC and Marion (Doug) Carnell of Lloydminster, AB; mother-in-law Marlies Strunk of St. Walburg; two brothers-in-law: Ralph (Sally) Strunk of St. Walburg and Robert Strunk (Lori) of Leduc, AB; and by numerous nieces, nephews, and by many good friends and work acquaintances.
Danny was predeceased by his parents Elmo and Nancy Showers; niece Corrina Carnell; brother-in-law Mark Strunk and father-in-law Hans Strunk. A Private Funeral Service was held on Sunday, April 27, 2025, at Malinoski & Danyluik Funeral Home & Crematorium. Led by Funeral Celebrant Debbie Sarauer. Interment will take place at a later date. Memorial donations in Danny’s memory may be directed to Cancer Foundation of Saskatchewan.
