Thousands of smile cookies are up for grabs this week at Tim Hortons locations across Canada.
The week-long annual fundraiser supports local charities, and for the third consecutive year, funds raised are going to the High River District Health Care Foundation.
The owner of the two Tim Horton locations in High River, Kevin Generoux, is thrilled to be giving back to such an important charity.
"It's that special time of the year where all week long we're selling smile cookies for $2 each to support our local charity."
"Yes, we are thrilled to be a partner again. This is year three. I've been doing my exercises to get my hands in shape to handle those icing bags because there are a lot of cookies to put smiles on," chimed in Cathy Couey, fund development and communications officer with the Foundation.
Last year, $16,444.98 was raised for the High River District Health Care Foundation.
Generoux added that it's crucial to support local charities, especially the hospital.
"Finding a charity that is super important to our community here in High River and being able to give back, and our customers being able to support the High River Health Trust through purchasing a smile cookie is... You know, we'll make the cookies, we'll make thousands and thousands of cookies, and Cathy puts on the smiles and her team, so together we have this great partnership where we're able to give back to the community. And the supporters of the community, they get a smile cookie out of the deal, so it's pretty sweet."
You can pick up your $2 smile cookies until this Sunday
