Fire ban issued for RM of Kelvington

A fire ban has been issued for the Rural Municipality (RM) of Kelvington No. 366 due to an extreme fire hazard condition within the RM.

With the ban in effect, that means no person can light, start, ignite a fire of any kind in the open air, including controlled burns, burning barrel fires, recreation fires or smudge fires. 

CSA-approved self-contained heating devices or Pressurized stoves are not a part of the ban.

Lighting and discharging fireworks are prohibited. 

The ban went into effect on Monday morning (April 28) at 9:00 am and will continue until further notification from the RM of Kelvington.
