Government Road closure extended until Thursday

Since last Tuesday, Government Road between Coteau Avenue West and Coteau Avenue East has been closed due to a service line installation. 

The route was initially set to reopen on Wednesday, however due to weather conditions, it remained closed over the weekend to be reassessed today. The City of Weyburn has now announced the road will remain closed until the end of the day on Thursday May 1st.  

Work is continuing on the project on Wednesday and Thursday. Drivers are asked to avoid the area if possible, for the safety of workers on the site.

Detours are in place along Mergens Street via Hill Ave to the west of Government Road and on Foster Street to the east of Government Road.
