The Cochrane Public Library is inviting families, friends, and adventurers of all ages to join in a town-wide scavenger hunt in celebration of its 75th anniversary.
Taking place Saturday, May 10 from 1 to 4 p.m., the 75th Anniversary Adventure is designed to send participants on a fun-filled journey from the library through historic downtown Cochrane, solving clues and completing challenges along the way.
“This is not just a kids' event,” says Carmen Erison, the library’s Program and Engagement Manager. “We’ve created a scavenger hunt where families and friend groups work together to crack clues, some easy enough for kids, others that’ll challenge adults.”
Participants can walk, bike, scooter, or drive their way through the hunt. The adventure will include bonus challenges such as finding “Seymour,” the library’s beloved stuffed giraffe mascot, and snapping selfies at local businesses, many of which are offering additional prizes throughout the afternoon.
Everyone who completes the hunt will be entered into a draw for the grand prize, a family rodeo package donated by the Cochrane Lions Club and Cochrane Rodeo, including eight weekend passes, a behind-the-chutes tour, and eight branded caps, a prize package valued at $600.
