A Cochrane man is celebrating a major win after a birthday gift from his mom turned into a $100,000 payday.

Gregory Foley scratched a $5 CROSSWORD BEE LUCKY ticket and uncovered the game’s top prize.

The winning ticket was an early birthday present, purchased at the Dovercourt Esso in Edmonton.

Foley says the win still feels surreal and he hasn’t yet decided how he’ll spend the money.

"I was in shock! It still feels surreal!"
