The community of Lanark Landing was established in 2020 and it is hard to believe the tree lined streets were only planted 5 years ago. Lanark Landing continues to grow with increasing amenities, new phases released and new show homes. We sat down with one couple who moved to Airdrie from Calgary in 2020, and definitely haven’t regretted their decision! They’ve recently learned that their community developer is hosting a Blossoms, Bikes & Bubbles Show Home Event on Saturday May 3rd from 1 to 4 pm in Lanark Landing, and they’re thrilled to share their thoughts on why they chose to call it home.
1. Efficient Commute to Downtown Calgary
“Living in Lanark Landing gives me the best of both worlds: small-town charm and easy access to downtown Calgary. The drive usually takes 25-30 minutes depending on traffic, similar to communities like Mahogany in southeast Calgary, but without the dense urban congestion. Here’s the best part – Airdrie ICE makes commuting even more flexible by providing residents with a bus that travels directly from Airdrie to downtown Calgary!”
2. Abundant Outdoor Amenities
“One of my favourite features of Lanark Landing is how easy it is to stay active here. We have kilometers of pathways, playgrounds, parks, and a new pump track for biking enthusiasts – it’s a hub of outdoor fun year-round.”
3. Proximity to Essential Services
“From groceries to schools to healthcare, everything we need is just minutes away. Kingsview Market is a quick drive for shopping and dining, and schools like Heloise Lorimer, Meadowbrook Middle School, and Bert Church High School are nearby, too.”
4. Diverse and Beautiful Housing Options
“We love that Lanark Landing offers a variety of home styles – laned homes, front-drive homes, duplexes, and townhomes. There's something for everyone, whether you're starting out, growing your family, or downsizing!”
5. Strong Community Spirit
“What really makes Lanark Landing special is its sense of community. Whether we’re attending outdoor movie nights hosted by the HOA, holiday events, or just neighbours chatting along the pathways, it feels like home.”
So, if you’re looking for a home in a great community, definitely check out Lanark Landing on Saturday May 3rd from 1 to 4 pm at the Show Home Parade. You’ll be able to meet all five builders (Lambeau Link and Langholm Drive) and enjoy a lot of activities throughout this fun-filled afternoon.
Because May is Bicycle Safety Month, the RCMP will be on-site at the Bicycle Pump Track giving out safety tips and checking to make sure the bikes are road worthy! You can also RSVP on the Blossoms, Bikes & Bubbles Facebook page.
