Rosetown and Kyle RCMP responded to a variety of calls between April 25 and May 1, including erratic driving, a reported assault, and theft of fuel from a local business.

On April 25 at 4:30 p.m., officers received a complaint of an erratic driver on Highway 7, but determined there was not enough evidence to proceed. Several similar reports followed throughout the week, with incidents logged on April 28, April 30, and May 1. In the most recent case, police located the vehicle and issued a traffic ticket to the driver.

In Beechy, police received a harassment complaint on April 26 and a separate complaint about harassing communications on April 29. In both cases, investigations are ongoing or lacked sufficient evidence to proceed.

On April 27 at 6:05 p.m., RCMP were called about stolen fuel from a local business. Officers located the person involved, and the fuel bill was paid, resolving the issue.

Later that evening, just before midnight, a trespassing complaint in Kyle prompted an investigation that remains active.

A motor vehicle collision on Highway 7 was reported on April 28 around 11:35 a.m., with no injuries reported. That same day at 9:20 p.m., RCMP responded to an assault complaint in Elrose. A 32-year-old Elrose resident was arrested and charged with assault and released to appear in court.

Police also investigated a suspicious vehicle at a rural location on April 29 and a disturbing-the-peace complaint in Kyle on May 1.

Over the course of the week, RCMP issued 37 traffic-related charges and responded to one 911 mis-dial.

Anyone with information about these or other crimes is asked to contact the Rosetown RCMP at 306-882-5700 or Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), or submit a tip online at www.saskcrimestoppers.com.
