Using a water timer like this can save you money with rebates from the city. City of Red Deer
Categories

The City of Red Deer has launched a new Watering Timer Rebate Program to encourage residents to conserve water while maintaining beautiful, healthy yards. Homeowners can receive a $50 rebate on their City utility bill when they purchase and install a watering timer for their outdoor hose or irrigation system.

Watering timers help prevent overwatering by delivering the right amount of water at the right time—saving both water and money. “We’re excited to introduce this new rebate as another simple, effective way for residents to be water wise,” said Taylor Ennis, Environmental Program Specialist. “It’s an easy tool that can make a big difference over the growing season.”

The Watering Timer Rebate joins a suite of other spring conservation rebates available to residents, including:

  • Rain Barrel Rebate – up to $50 for collecting and reusing rainwater
  • Plant Rebate – up to $50 for native or drought-tolerant plants
  • Mulch Rebate – up to $50 for applying natural mulch in garden beds

These programs support Red Deer’s Environmental Master Plan and help residents create water-efficient, eco-friendly outdoor spaces. Full details and application forms for all rebates are available at RedDeer.ca/Rebates.
