We’re back with another monthly spotlight on everything happening at the Estevan Public Youth Centre (EPYC). Acting Co-Executive Directors Bonnie Chepil-Kvamme and Maisy Daoust joined us on SUN 102 to talk about fundraisers, youth events, and a few new partnerships that have EPYC buzzing with activity.
Smile Cookie Campaign (Until May 4)
This year’s Tim Hortons Smile Cookie Campaign is raising funds for EPYC and the Estevan Early Years Family Resource Centre. In addition to buying cookies, there are two fun extras:
Cornhole Tournament – May 10 (Deadline to register: May 3)
The third annual EPYC Cornhole Tournament returns to the Power Dodge Curling Centre. Registration closes Saturday, May 3, and entry is $80 per team.
Prizes: 1st – $800 | 2nd – $500 | 3rd – $200
Yoga Night – May 9
Kelsey from Ohm Yoga Studio leads a youth yoga session at EPYC from 6:00 to 6:30 p.m., followed by healthy snacks.
Skin Care Night – May 16
Stephanie returns to host an evening focused on skincare, running from 6:15 to 8:15 p.m. (and maybe longer if last month’s popularity is any indication).
Fondue Night – May 22
Fruit, chocolate, and good company! Youth are invited to chop, dip, and enjoy a sweet treat together at EPYC.
Art Night – May 23
The Estevan Art Gallery & Museum joins EPYC for a creative evening of crafts and collaboration.
Day of Caring – May 28
EPYC youth will be out in the community for the United Way's Day of Caring, giving back and gaining volunteer hours. Bonnie and Maisy can sign off on volunteer sheets for students.
