The Estevan Public Library is offering a full slate of events this May, including free tech support, a new children’s book launch, and a financial literacy workshop for teens and adults.

SUN 102 Morning Show host Daniel Espelien sat down with branch manager Jason Redshaw to go over the month’s highlights and how to get involved.

Listen to the full interview below.

Tech Café on Select Mondays

If you’re struggling with your phone, tablet, or laptop, the Estevan branch is offering drop-in tech help at their Tech Café, running on May 5 & 26 at 2 PM. Patrons are encouraged to call ahead to register and bring their device to the library for one-on-one assistance.

Author Visit
Local favourite Maureen Ulrich is launching her first children’s book, a collaboration with artist Brenda Blackburn, who illustrated the story. The event is set for Wednesday, May 14 at 6:30 p.m. at the library.

Guests will hear the story, learn about the creative process behind the book, and meet both the author and illustrator.

Financial Literacy Workshop
Andrea Piper returns to host another entry in her ongoing financial literacy series. This month’s topic is “Loans That You Don’t Want”, aimed at helping both adults and teens (16+) understand common pitfalls when borrowing money.

The workshop takes place Tuesday, May 31.
