Royals begin new season with convincing win over Dodgers

It was a dominating start to the season for the Marysburg Royals.  

They opened the year with a 10-0 win over the Saskatoon Dodgers. 

Cole Bauml led the way offensively, with five RBIs on three hits. Bauml had a pair of doubles along with a single.  

Marysburg had 12 hits with Bauml, Nick Anderson, Curtis Strueby, and Carter Frerichs had multiple hits.  

Thomas Lessmeister earned the win, pitching three scoreless innings with six strikeouts and no walks.  

Next action for the Royals is Saturday, when they meet the Dodgers in Saskatoon. 

The first doubleheader in Marysburg is scheduled for Saturday, May 24 against the Dodgers.
