Estevan Fire and Rescue crews have been busy over the past week, responding to a series of incidents ranging from false alarms to grass fires.
On April 28, crews responded to a commercial fire alarm on the south side of the city. Upon investigation, it was determined to be a malfunction, and no assistance was required.
The following day, crews attended to a tractor fire near Hirsch. The blaze was quickly controlled, and no injuries were reported. The cause remains under investigation.
Later that day, crews responded to an elevator rescue at a local apartment building. No injuries were reported.
On May 3, crews were dispatched to a grass fire northwest of Estevan. The fire was extinguished, and the cause is under investigation.
The next day, another grass fire was reported north of Estevan. A passerby called in to confirm the fire had been fully extinguished.
On May 5, crews responded to a commercial fire in the central part of the city. The cause was determined to be a cooking incident, and the alarm was reset with no further action required.
