The East Central Red Sox AAA 18U squad started the season off on the right foot with a convincing 12-2 win over the Saskatoon Giants. 

Cade Armstrong and Graydn Wilson led the way at the plate, both players picking up a pair of hits and knocking in three runs each.  

Blake Morelli also had two hits for the night.  

Wilson earned the win on the mound, pitching two innings, allowing one run on one hit. He also recorded four strikeouts. Pryor Dyck had the start, he lasted three innings, giving up one run on five hits and had a pair of strikeouts.  

The Red Sox opened the scoring in the second inning with Morelli and Jacob Trann each scoring one run. 

After the Giants replied with a run in the bottom of the inning, the Red Sox busted the game open over the next two innings with eight unanswered runs.  

East Central ended up with nine hits for the night.  

The next action for the Red Sox is on Saturday when they head south to meet the Swift Current 57’s AAA 18U.
