Calgary police are warning the public about the release of a high-risk offender now residing in the city.
Corey Manyshots has completed a federal sentence for kidnapping, sexual assault causing bodily harm, robbery, and uttering threats.
The 36-year-old will be closely monitored by the Calgary Police Service High Risk Offender Program and is subject to court-ordered conditions, including electronic monitoring.
Police say the warning is being issued in the interest of public safety and to allow residents to take appropriate precautions.

They also stress that this is not a call for any form of vigilante action.
Manyshots is described as 5’8” tall, around 170 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
