A bail hearing for Evan Isbister is set for June 20 in Estevan’s Court of King’s Bench. He is charged with second-degree murder in the death of 60-year-old Todd Isbister earlier this year.
His case was in Estevan Provincial Court on June 16, where it was confirmed that the bail hearing would go ahead. His lawyer, Aleida Oberholzer, said she received a report for the bail hearing and will ask for an update on electronic monitoring.
The rest of his case remains in provincial court, where he is scheduled to appear again on June 30.

A Prince Albert man charged with murder following a weekend homicide in Estevan appeared in provincial court Monday.
Evan Isbister, 36, is accused in the death of a 60-year-old Estevan man. The matter was adjourned to May 14 in Carlyle Provincial Court.
Estevan police responded to a reported assault Saturday around 8:45 p.m. at a residence on the 1400 block of First Street. Three men were found at the scene. One was treated by EMS and later died in hospital. One man was released without charges, while Isbister was remanded into custody.
“There are not a lot of details that we can release at this time as the investigation is still ongoing,” said Estevan Police Service Inspector Tyler McMillen.
“Detectives and ident members are taking part in the post-mortem portion of the investigation this week,” he added.
Police say the victim and the accused were known to each other.
